The show and Tech rehearsals will take place at the Vernon & District Performing Arts Center.
For the Tech/dress rehearsals dancers are to wear their dance attire as required for each class(shoes, tights, bodysuit, etc) and have their hair in a classical bun. No makeup required for the tech rehearsals.
Costumes are provided by the studio with a rental fee of $25 each. The studio will bring all costumes to and from the venue. Invoices will be sent out in April.
Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled tech/dress rehearsal time.
Dancers arrive at 1:00 for the show.
The following classes will be permitted to be picked up at the Intermission through the Mary Fleming entrance:
Dancers are encouraged to stay and watch the second half of the show with our balcony volunteers. All dancers get to come on stage at the end of the show for a final bow and awards ceremony!
We are looking for volunteers to fill backstage roles for both the tech/dress rehearsals and show. All volunteers get to watch their child dance from the balcony. Backstage volunteers need a valid criminal record check. Shuswap Dance will reimburse volunteers for obtaining a criminal record check if required. Our special Gala Show for competitive and Sr dancers will take place on June 1st at 6:00. All Shuswap Dance Center students are invited to attend the show. A special graduation ceremony will take place for all of our graduating dancers!
