Our teams compete at 3 – 4 competitions/festivals each year and perform at local events such as Canada Day & Salmon Arm Fall Fair. Notice from: Shuswap Dancers Society

We are parents of dancers from Shuswap Dance Center who have banded together to form a society. This allows us to raise funds to offset some of the costs of providing opportunities for our dancers to progress through dance. The financial support we have provided to our sponsored dancers has enabled them to accomplish such things as competing, taking examinations in both Ballet and Modern in the ISTD syllabus, and experiencing dance instruction at dance schools in various parts of the world. We would like to invite you to join our society. The cost is currently $25 for the year which covers our administration costs. We have approximately 4 meetings per year and they are usually an hour in duration. Some examples of the things that we do to raise money are sell flowers and baking at the Christmas and year end shows, sell grocery and gift cards, and provide manpower for the barbecue and entertainment (this is the dancers ) at the GM car show. As a member you can participate in as many or as few fund raising events as you choose. Your sponsored dancer benefits based on the amount raised in any fund raising that you and/or your dancer have participated in. If you have any questions or would like some additional information please contact Denise Cullen at 250-832-2729.
